ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Michelle Blanchard
Michelle Blanchard is a fourth-year student of journalism and a returning artistic director. This is her third season with SnB, having previously served under the old dictatorship. She enjoys putting on plays, napping at the theatre, sending mass emails and threatening her minions. If you want to direct a play, be in a play, see a play, help out with a play, talk about a play or hear about a play, she's your go-to lady. Just don't call her sweetie.
GENERAL MANAGER
Virginia Woodall
Virginia has always loved two things: law and theatre. As a Carleton student, she manages to indulge in both. She studies law very eagerly, with a long way to go in her legal education. She fills time not spent studying odd court cases with odd plays. With Sock n Buskin she started out working backstage and as an usher, working her way up to assistant stage manager. Virginia decided to peek out from backstage and had a blast acting in last season's comedy festival. This year Virginia takes to the board of directors ready to manage general things, including Front of House, and the paperwork. She will make it her mission to have an answer to every question (at least Sock 'n' Buskin-related ones), so go ahead, try her.
QUEEN OF TALENT
Marissa Caldwell
Marissa Caldwell is a fourth-year Law student at Carleton, and is a mystery wrapped in enigma, wound in bacon, and topped with cheese. In her first months in Ottawa, her love of (or slight obsession with) Shakespeare landed her the role of Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, her first Sock ‘N’ Buskin production. A drama nut from the beginning, it was only a matter of time before a certain Artistic Director would offer her a really awesome title in exchange for joining the Board. Past performing credits include Frenchy in Grease, Babette in Beauty and the Beast, 'The Woman Who Loved to Make Vaginas Happy' in the Vagina Monologues, and all types of maids (both French and 'Mer') in Peter Pan. All evidence of type-casting at its best.
Now four years later, as the Queen of Talent (Commander and Chief of the volunteer army) she wrangles herds of cats and unruly dress seams on a daily basis. Moonlighting as a PASS Facilitator, Registration Assistant, and nerdy clay sculptor, she has been advised to never quit her day job. And hopefully, eventually, she'll actually have a day job. But for now, Sock 'N' Buskin has captured her soul; if you happen to see it roaming the tunnels, please let her know - it may breach the musty theatre depths on occasion.

PUBLICITY & MARKETING MISTRESS
Beverley Hinterhoeller
Beverley is a fourth year French
literature student here at Carleton. She
likes to sing (everywhere), eat extensive amounts of carrots, and make faces at
her (late) fish. Her aspiration is to
one day be queen of the world – and/or a fire truck driver. This is her first performance (as publicity
director, obviously), but she adores the entire cast and crew (aka the other
execs and our volunteers!), and is thrilled to be working with them in these
comedies (called “life”). Bev would like to thank her family for love, her friends
for laughs, and her dental hygienist for continuously preventing gingivitis.
Hope you enjoy the show… err, season!
CHIEF ERRANDS OFFICER
Iain Moggach
Iain Moggach is a fourth year Humanities and Classics student at Carleton. Ever since starring in his kindergarten show, Robin in the Rain, Iain has been consistently involved in theatre in some form or another. His time with SnB started in third year, but he quickly became deeply entrenched in the company. Starting as a costumer, he moved on to stage manage, act and (as of this season) direct. Since directing his own show was apparently not enough for him, he became the newest member of the board of directors and provides the desperately needed testosterone.
