We are now accepting SUBMISSIONS  for the 2013-2014 season!

This year, we will be producing two main stage shows to be held in Carleton’s Kailash Mital Theatre. In the past, Sock 'n' Buskin has produced a wide range of material, from Shakespeare to contemporary Canadian plays to musicals. We're looking to build a season of intelligent, stimulating theatre that will appeal directly to the diverse Carleton community.


For our Second Stage, we are looking for any number of one-act plays to be performed at smaller venues on the Carleton campus. This is the ideal outlet for first-time writers, directors, actors and production crew, so no previous experience is required. Original pieces are preferred for Second Stage, but all proposals will be considered.

A successful proposal will include the following:
·         Director’s name and contact information
·         Resume of previous theatre experience
·         Name of play/musical and playwright/composer
·         A copy of the script (or where we may access one)
·         Tentative production plans (i.e. set, cast/crew, costumes, props, lighting)
·         A rough estimate of production expenses.

The deadline for submissions is MAY 8, 2013. Submissions received after this date will not be considered for our 2013-2014 season. Those submitting proposals will be notified of our decision on or before May 24, 2013.
